Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website and the village websites we build, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or captions.
Our standard
This website and the GovSites platform are designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard adopted by the Department of Justice for state and local government websites under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
How we test
- Automated accessibility checks run against every page type on every release.
- Pages use semantic HTML, landmarks, headings and labels so keyboards and screen readers work.
- Color palettes are checked so text always meets contrast requirements.
- We don’t use accessibility overlay widgets.
